Buttons & Bows at Cardz 4 Galz

Our theme this week at Cardz 4 Galz is Buttons & Bows so lots of scope there

I've used a Woodware stamp called Bubble Bloom Clarisssa. You may have realised that I love these stamps as there is so much you can do with them

We'd love to see what you come up with for this challenge

Numbers at Cardz 4 Guyz

Our new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz is Numbers so I've made another calendar for hubby's study. I've used beer mats as the base and the papers and elements are from Docrafts Nature's Garden Ultimate pack. As I said on Sunday, I had great problems getting pictures of this and totally gave up trying to show the dimension on the elements

We'd love to see what you come up with for this challenge but please make your creation suitable for a male

Trees at Cuttlebug Mania

We've a new challenge for you at Cuttlebug Mania and this week the theme is TREES

                                                       Our sponsor this week is:

One of the girls at my craft class said she'd pinched her husbands shaving brush after we'd used them for inking backgrounds - "he's welcome to the shaving foam" she said. So of course I told her she needed that as well and last week we had great fun making shaving foam backgrounds. I've made a couple of cards with them and this is one. The inks I used are a mixture of food colouring and some Pergamano inks.

N is for Numbers at The Butterfly Challenge

The new theme at The Butterfly Challenge is N is for Numbers. I don't have any special Birthdays or anniversaries coming up so I've made a hanging calendar for my craft room. I first made one of these several years ago at a crafty weekend with friends and I think it was one of the first times we used "shoebox" cards. Now I nearly gave up getting a picture of this and tried hanging it on the back of a door, in the window, on the floor - you name it, I tried it. I the end I went in the garden and hung it against the sheets drying on the line - we've had a beautiful day here in Sopley. I totally gave up trying to show the dimension on the decoupage and the sheen on the butterflies!

The base is made of six squares cut from a cereal box and the papers and decoupage are from the Papermania Lucy Cromwell Ultimate pack. The small butterflies are from a Robert Adams die and the large one is a Marianne Designs die cut from pearlescent card

CAS at Cardz 4 Galz

I was in a bit of a rush for my card for this weeks Cardz 4 Galz challenge. I normally spend Monday and Tuesday in Southampton but this week it changed last minute to Tuesday to Thursday so I had to grab some bits from my craft room to take with me to make this card - I was so pleased the theme is Clean And Simple. The topper and sentiment are leftovers from a Hunkydory sheet and the papers are snippets from another project. The part sheet of gems I bought had very few the same so I've just "sprinkled" them on

A very quick card just using bits

I PUT A SPELL ON YOU at Cardz 4 Guyz

Our new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz is I Put A Spell on You but anything Halloween related is fine

I've used this sketch from Pals Paper Arts

Which is ideal for a CAS card. The image is an old one by Pink Petticoat and is mounted on orange card and raised with foam take. The sentiment came with the set and is printed straight onto the base card

Pink and Pearly at Cardz 4 Galz

It's our third challenge at Cardz 4 Galz and this week our theme is Pink and Pearly

My card is based on one I made a few years ago at a show in Worthing. The card we made was black and white which never seems to work well for me so I've gone for a pink and white version.

The flowers are from the Hobby Art Wildflowers set, stamped with pink pearlescent ink and embossed with clear powder. The butterflies are from a Robert Adams die dabbed with pink Stickles

We'd love to see your Pink and Pearly creations

I'm also showing this at the Butterfly Challenge where the  theme is E for Embossing

Fairies at Cardz 4 Galz

It's time for our second challenge at Cardz 4 Galz and this week our theme is Fairies. I was going to get out some Angelina fibres to make my background but it's one of the things I've not come across yet in my massive craft clear out so I've used some kitchen foil and alcohol inks. The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Bloomin Marvelous but I'm not sure about the butterflies as I can't find the packet. Both are stamped with Stazon onto acetate and pinned with brads to the background. The fairy is a Joanna Sheen die and I've nor stuck the wings down so it gives some movement.

We're looking forward to see what you come up with for this

Buttons at Cardz 4 Guyz

Still clearing things out in my craft room and I came across some waterfall card kits and thought that this one would be perfect for the new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz which is Buttons. The background card is embossed with my Embossilicious Buttons folder and two button brads keep the waterfall mechanism on the card

K is For Knots

The current Butterfly Challenge is K is for Knots. I've been having a real clear out of my crafting stash with a view to getting rid of quite a bit but I came across these embossed frames from Craftwork Cards. I've brushed it lightly with pink chalk and raised it on foam pads above the sentiment by Inkylicious. My knots are three snippets of ribbon which I've coloured with the same ink that I stamped the sentiment. Some Robert Adams butterflies to finish

First Challenge At Cardz 4 Galz

Today is the day the new Cardz 4 Galz challenge blog starts and our first challenge is Your Favourite Colour. Blue is definitely my favourite especially all the different tones you can get of it

For my card I've made a Double Dutch Fold card base and covered it with some Hunkydory backing paper. The dragonfly is cut with Spellbinders Dragonfly Delight dies, the top part being cut from a lovely iridescent vellum which hardly shows on the photograph

I do hope you'll join us for our first challenge
