Less Is More Week 12 - take 3

Having done the last two cards for Less Is More, I was sorting out my stamps and came across some Inkadinkadoo sets that I had forgotten about. The lovely sweeping birds are from the Birds Galore set. This set also has 4 individual birds including a lovely owl. The sentiment is from another Inkadinkadoo set - Thoughts For The Day. Both stamped with Versafine sepia

Less Is More Week 10 take 2

This is my second entry for Less Is More Week 12. I've used the Stampin Up set Because I Care. The flower is stamped with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive with stickles added to the centre of the flowers which you can see on the second photo. I know it should be less but I couldn't help but add some pricking to the top right corner to balance it

Less Is More Week 12

Less Is More theme this week is a recipe of "Off Centre". I had time for a bit of a play yesterday and came up with three cards. I think this first one is my favorite but it doesn't look that clean to me. I used distress ink for the background over a Tim Holtz clock mask. The greeting is by Stampin Up from the Sense of Time set.

Less Is More Week 11 - take 2

I decided to have another go at week 11 Less Is More challenge. On this card I've used Creative Expressions Vintage Photography stamp set and Tim Holtz Filmstrip Frames die which is backed with acetate. I've pricked the top corners to finish

Less Is More Week 11 - Acetate

The Less Is More challenge for week 11 is to use acetate. For this, I've cut the Sizzix owl die from acetate twice and coloured it with alcohol inks, one it light tones and the other darker. I cut the darker one and layered it onto the lighter one. The corners are pricked and the frame is embossed onto the card with a nestie. The greeting is by Woodware.

Sketch N Stash Challenge 59

This is my entry for the Sketch N Stash Challenge 59 and I'm also entering it in the Crafter's Reunited April Inspirationals challenge which must have one button - I like to be cryptic!

The image is a new one from Kenny K called Bathing Beauty. The papers are Cupcakes by Crafts House. I've had them ages and they are lovely and pearlescent but as there are six of each, I thought it about time I cut into some of them.

Less Is More Week 10

What a challenge this was in more ways than one. Actually thinking of what to do for the Less is More challenge this week (one layer card - sentiment focus) was difficult enough but then to get a decent picture of it was impossible!

I've printed the greeting, embossed two corners and stamped the butterfly from the SU Bliss set and used Perfect Pearls on it. Trying to show the embossing and the pearl effect. I've placed the card on a purple background to show it more clearly.

Less Is More Week 9

Week 9 on Less is More is a touch of red. This stamp is from the Inkadinkadoo Gem Stone Cats set. The border punch is by EKSuccess. Stampin Up punches for the sentiment which is from Wild Rose Studio.

Sketch N Stash Challenge 58

I was thrown at first for the Sketch N Stash challenge 58 as I didn't really want to use too many papers so I got around it by using this Joys Craft border stencil that I've had for yonks but nly found it when I changed my Nestie storage. The papers are from Pink Petticoat Vintage Rose collection which was free with Quick Cards a little while ago. The image is by Carina and was given away last year on her blog but I only found it last week. Coloured with promarkers.

Crafty Individuals No 1 Challenge

I made these backgrounds using the shaving foam technique with Lava Red Cosmic Shimmer Mist and Craftynotions Citrine Spraypaque. The Craftynotions certainly had the best glimmer to it;

Once made I wasn't sure what to do with them. Then when looking through my Crafty Individuals stamps for this challenge, I thought it would be great to stamp these sweet little girls on (CI-131). The background paper  from the CI Springtime pack and seemed to work well with the colours.

I may be more adventurous and use this technique as a proper background next time.

Less is More - Week 8

I've made cards for the Less Is More challenge each week but this is the first time I've actually managed to upload it in time!

The music notes is a wheel by Stampin Up! and the harp and sentiment are by Darkroom Door.
