Paris

Darkroom Door is one of my favourite makes of stamps and I was lucky enough to get a couple of sets in the sale at My Mum's Craft Shop in Poundbury. So when the theme of Tickets came up on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog it was the perfect opportunity to get them out. I've used the Tour Eiffel set and stamped the images in Majestic Blue Versafine and edged them with Pan Pastels. The background paper is from the Wellington paper stack by DoCrafts and although I'm not keen on the Wellington image, these papers are fab. The ticket Sentiment is from the Sugarplum Daisy CD by Polka Doodles and I've added a ribbon from my stash.

Christmas Cuddles

I've made this card for the Anything Goes challenge which is animals. The image is Christmas Cuddles by Wild Rose Studio and is coloured with Promarkers with glitter added to their hats. I think this is such a cute image and will be using it a lot again this year. The background has white snowflakes cut with a Cuttlebug die and the blue is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. I've cut some more snowflakes from a clear glitter sticky sheet and also cut the mat for the sentiment from it and although some of it looks cream, it is actually white.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp

Today is the first time in ages that I've actually wanted to make a card.. I'm not over the moon with the result but at least it's a start. I've followed the sketch at Sunday Sketch & Stamp

The image is one of the Vintage Ladies by Marianne Designs. I'm ashamed to say I got this set when I went to Netherlands in March and this is the first time out of the packet. The papers are by Prima from a pad called Botanicals which was free with a magazine a little while ago. The greetings are from a Personal Impressions set cut with Stampin Up punches and I've added a few gems and flowers to finish

Sketch N Stash 97

I've really not been making many cards for the last month and most of the ones I have made I missed the challenges they were inspired from. The same nearly went for this card but I've just got it on in time. This was made for a friends Birthday and hopefully she has received it by now so I can post it.

The image is a pre-coloured image by Wee Stamps produced by the Hobby House as die cut toppers. You can get them at My Mums Craft Shop in Poundbury which is a great shop to visit and the views from the front of the shop are spectacular. I've used the sketch at Sketch N Stash shown below

The papers are by Dovecraft from their Garden Party range and I used my new Nellie Snellen dies with the diasy shapes cut out of matching paper. The flowers are from Marianne's English Rose die again cut from matching papers. It's finished with a Craftwork Cards greeting and some gems.

I really need to have a clearout in my craft room as I think the mess is not helping my mojo but Buddy has decided to join me and is sleeping on the spare chair so I can't do too much in case I wake him :)

Kitty's Krafty Candy

Kitty has some lovely candy but you need to be quick as it closes at midnight tonight

Feeling Sketchy 26

I've just made this in time for the Feeling Sketchy challenge

I've done a quick scrapbook page for this sketch - my first using Craft Artist 2 and my first of Buddy. I've used elements of various kits and I'm loving the new tools on this software although I can't find the effects tool at the moment. This is what I've come up with

Forever Friends Colour Challenge 45 and Anything Goes 76

Where did my mojo go! I went away for a lovely few days in Prague and must have left all my inspiration there as I've been finding it really difficult to make anything since I've been back. I know the first two weeks back I spent a lot of time with Buddy as he likes a cuddle but every time I've been in the craft room I've just moved things about and cut a few bits of card but nothing of any consequence. So today I've looked at various challenges and decided to have a go at the Forever Friends colour challenge based on the picture below

And this is the card I came up with using the pinks from the picture

I've used Pink Parfait sticker, papers and sentiment. The doily is by Dovecraft and I've coloured it Pan Pastels. A bit of lace on a strip of card and some flowers to finish. The small gems in corners have been replaced by larger ones but I posted the card before I could take a picture of it.

The layout comes from the current Anything Goes challenge which is the sketch below

Buddy

When we got back from Prague at the beginning of September, we officially adopted Buddy. Sadly his owner has had to go and live with her daughter and couldn't take him with her. We've know him for years and when I was working, he always came for breakfast at 5am. He was still a regular visitor on our visits back to Southampton and we knew he visited several other houses. We bought him down to Sopley and he seems to have settled in very well. We were surprised at how he coped with being kept in for nearly two weeks but last Wednesday he went out for the first time. He had a good wander round the back garden. He enjoyed investigating the wood shed in particular. This is his favourite spot at the moment

So far he's caught two mice (that we know about) and just watches the birds but we've moved the bird table just in case. He does like laying in the sun

He spends most evenings stretched out on my lap. He prefers mine to OH's because it's bigger

The only thing I'm not too keen on is the wake up call in the morning

So this is partly why I've not been creative recently athough I think I left my mojo in Prague.

Thank You Card

I've made this card for the Docerela challenge this week which is Thank You. I've used a Marianne stamp that I got in Netherlands and coloured her with Promarkers. I love how she is playing at dressing up. The backing paper is by Marianne too. The greeting is from a Stampin Up set and I've added some lace and gems to finish. My ribbon is the paper ribbon on the left and the buttons are on her dress - I hope they count!
