Garden Scene for Polka Doodles

This is a quick card I've made for a friend using Craft Artist. It's for the Garden Scene challenge at Polka Doodles this week.  All the images and papers have been imported from the Sugarplum Daisy CD. The fences, watering can and pots have been decoupaged and the sentiment added afterwards.

Golfing Miracle

This is a card for my cousin's husband. He's taken up golf recently so I've used this Papermania stamp and coloured it with Promarkers. I've had the stamp set for ages and never used this image from it. The paper is from my stash and the greeting is computer generated. The golf balls are just printed and shaped.

The current Sketch N Stash challenge is a free choice of all their previous sketches and I've used sketch no 3.

Lots of Flowers for Polka Doodles

The challenge this week at Polka Doodles is Lots of Flowers. For my card I've used an image from the Sugarplum Daisy CD. It's coloured with promarkers and the little bunny is decoupaged with glamour dust on his tail. As I'm waiting for inks for my printer, I've used a backing paper from my stash. It's by Wild Rose Studio and has lots of daisy like flowers. The small flowers at the top are a punch by Woodware (which I love as it punches 10 small flowers at a time) and I've coloured the centres with a Promarker and shaped them. The three larger daisy's are another Woodware punch with shaped yellow card for the centres. The greeting is by Personal impressions mounted with Stampin Up punches

Polka Doodles Regal Colours

Polka Doodles challenge this week to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee is Regal Colours. As I'm away for the rest of the week I needed to get my card done quickly today.

There's lots to celebrate at Polka Doodles recently with their third birthday and the wonderful news that Rosemary Merry is joining the team so I've made a celebration welcome card for her. I've kept to the red white and blue theme with a freebie backing paper from Polka Doodle Dandies.  Her crown is a Cuttlebug die cut and the flowers are a Nellie Snellen punch cut from the same card to layer Rosemary's picture. I've used a Stampin Up punch for the bunting and my Quickcut Squeeze for the letters and of course added some diamond bling.

Polka Doddles Doodling

This weeks challenge at Polka Doodles is Doodling! They want you to doodle an edge or border.  This was certainly a challenge for me and to be honest, I wasn't going to play along this time but I eventually decided to have a go.

I've used a digi image from the Sugar Birdies CD and coloured it with Promarkers. The doodling is very simple around the edge of the image using a fine nib Promarker in soft peach. The backing paper is from the same CD. I wanted a border across the bottom so I've added some doodled button birds. I saw these in a magazine earlier this year and they have always stick in my mind. I've used a Sakura stardust pen to doodle the legs and curly tails. The wings and beaks are hearts cut in half and the buttons are from my stash.

Last Polka Doodles Birthday Card

My 3rd card for  Polka Doodles 3rd birthday card using the Pretty Tough CD. I've used Claude from the cd and coloured him with Promarkers. Again I've used three papers and three buttons (twice) and the number 3 cut from one of the backing papers.

Beccy's Place May Challenge

My Mum always loved sunflowers so I've made this card for Beccy's May challenge using one of her sunflower digi images. I've printed it twice and coloured it with two distress inks - Wild Honey and Mustard seed - and layered them up. The sentiment is by Inkylicious and stamped in Wild Honey. The papers are an old K&Co pad. I think this was one of the first paper pads I ever bought so they're quite old. Luckily you get six of each so plenty left. I used the sketch from Sketch N Stash again as I sometimes struggle to put cards together.

Our Silver Anniversary

It's our silver anniversary on 8th June and we're going away for a few days so I wanted to get OH's card done early. I just love this image by Bugaboo and the wording inside is the sentiment that goes with it:

"I love being married, it's great to find that one special person you can annoy for the rest of your life"

I've coloured it with Promarkers and punched lots of hearts for the background. The heart is my new Marianne die.

I'm entering it to the Anything Goes challenge which is Anniversaries although not as lovey dovey as the design team cards! I'm also entering it into the Sketch N Stash challenge.

Another Polka Doodles Birthday Card

I decided to have another go at the Polka Doodles birthday challenge - this time using Sundae of Seasons. There are some beautiful papers on this CD as well as some very cute images. These bees are so sweet - three of them of course with three papers from the CD. I did add three buttons but they didn't look right so I've changed them to flowers which were cream but I've coloured lightly with Wild Honey distress ink - a perfect colour for the card. The sentiment is from the Sugarplum Daisy CD and I've coloured it with the Wild Honey distress ink.

Polka Doodles Third Birthday

Polka Doodles is celebrating it's third birthday this week and have a special challenge in addition to the normal weekly ones. The challenge is to make them a birthday card with 3 on it. For my card I've gone back to the first Polka Doodles CD I bought - I just couldn't resist the owls. Of course my card has three owls and I've also used three papers from the CD. I think the sentiment is from Pretty Sweet

Happy Birthday Polka Doodles.
