Something Beginning With S at Cardz 4 Guyz
Time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week our theme is Something Beginning With S. My S is for Stag with this country style card. The tartan paper is from a WRMK pad which was free with a magazine and the script one is from the Docrafts Wellington pack. Sentiment stamp and dies by Stampin Up, twine and button from my stash
Such an open theme this week so plenty of scope for your entries
Tag, You're It at Cuttlebug Mania
Time for another challenge at Cuttlebug Mania and this time our theme is Tag, You're It - we want to see a tag/tags on your creations. I don't actually have any tag dies so I've used my Tiny Tag Stampin Up Punch with the sentiments to match. As they are so small I wanted to do a relatively simple card so I've combined it with the Less Is More challenge which itself is to combine 3 of their previous challenges. The ones I've picked are:
Week 66 - Yellow
Week 89 - Wings
Week 208 - Sketch
I've turned the sketch to landscape and my tags represent the circle so you do need some imagination!
The background swirl is still one of my favourite Stampin Up stamps having used it years ago on my first "shoebox" card. The birds and tags are cut from snippets so I'm taking it over to enter at the Playground
We'd love to see what you come up with for this challenge so pop over to the blog for some more inspiration

Transport at Cardz 4 Guyz
It's Tuesday and time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz and it's my turn to choose the theme and I've gone for Transport. I'm sticking with our theme of CAS from last week to for my card and using Chrissie's card at Less Is More as my inspiration
Now I thought this would be a really quick and easy card. I rooted through my stamps and came up with this combination of Stampin Up image and Inkylicious sentiment. I stamped them on buff card with Vintage Sepia Versamark and used the same cardstock for the base but it didn't look "enough". So I punched the square notches in the corner of each piece but they looked odd on their own so I added some brown twine around the notches. Still not right so I stamped them again and was going to layer them onto brown card before putting on the buff base but when I just placed them on the chocolate chip cardstock, they looked just right so that's what I've gone for.
Now to find something to do with the notched pieces!
I'm also entering this into the following challenges:

Butterflies + P is for Patterned Paper
This weeks theme at The Butterfly Challenge is to use patterned paper. I'm in a bit of a CAS phase at the moment but wanted to use up some of my ever expanding snippets too. I've used my large Woodware Bubble Butterfly a lot stamp so treated myself to the set of three smaller ones and it's one of those I've used on my card. I stamped it with pink pearlescent ink. I've used quite a few punches for this including my japanese screw punch to cut the various sized cirlces.
The backing paper behind was also in my snippets pack as I had stamped onto it intending to use it for paper piecing but changed my mind so I cut the corners and the butterfly body from it before matting in on the base card. It turned out too fussy to be CAS but I quite like it. No greeting yet as I'm not sure what I'll be using it for. Lots of snippets used so I'm taking it over to show Miss at Pixie's Crafty Playground too
I'm also entering it into the following challenges:

Hobbies at Cardz 4 Guyz
Time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week we're looking at male hobbies. I'd been thinking what to do for this when a friend posted a saying on her Facebook page. I thought it was great and we all know how it applies to craft stuff too! I've changed some of the wording so it's not a direct copy. The backing paper is from a Serif kit and the sentiment is done in Craft Artist. The little fish and the rod are Taylored Expression dies

Happy Birthday to Cuttlebug Mania
Cuttlebug Mania is 2 years old this week and we're celebrating with an extra challenge for you Use the Number 2. I've gone down the second anniversary route which is cotton and the colour red
The cotton reel is a stamp and die set by Die-namics and I've wrapped some red cotton around it The top sentiment is on the same set but I've printed it on the computer so I can match the bottom sentiment
Don't forget you've still got another week to play along with our current challenge which is Green With Envy

Butterfly Challenge - H is for Hexagons
The current challenge at The Butterfly Challenge is H Is For Hexagons. I've been playing about with this, cutting and embossing hexagons but couldn't decide how to put it together so I went looking for a sketch and found this one at Tuesday Morning Sketches
A very simple card cut from scrap of pink card. The pin ones aren't full hexagons as the scraps weren't large enough but careful placement means that doesn't show. I'm also taking this to the Playground - I hope Miss Diane likes it x

Green With Envy at Cuttlebug Mania
Time for a new challenge at Cuttlebug Mania and this week we're Green With Envy. Now this is good timing if you want to make a card for St Patrick's day but there is so much more you can do. I've used some Xcut shadow box dies which are sized for A5 cards but I've cut them down the middle to suit my 6x6 card down the sides and cut another of the largest ones for the top
Xcut Woodland Shadow Box dies
Xcut English Countryside Border dies
Joanna Sheen rabbit dies
Lots of green card!
