Music Note & Butterfly

I've dabbled in book folding but up till now I've only done the easy ones such as a Christmas tree, hedgehog and bird cage. This is my first try at following a pattern and as it wasn't too many folds I thought it was a good place to start. I sat out in the garden to mark the pages before folding them and was amazed when I had finished that it actually looked like a music note. I've covered it with lilac butterfly paper from Papermanis's Lucy Cromwell collection and cut a butterfly with some snippets of card. I actually cut quite a few but decided to go with just the one. The top left hand corner was slightly curled which I quite liked so curled all 4 corners properly. I may add something to the front but I'm not sure yet

I'm entering this into The Butterfly Challenge (Music Note) and Pixie's Snippets Playground

The pattern I used is from Hana's Etsy shop. If you want to have a go there are free ones on her Facebook page (Crafty Hana's Book Folding Patterns) and lots of helpful members if you get stuck

  2. Wow! Totally amazing.I love the book folded note. I have seen a hedgehog done as a letter holder and tried to work out the folds needed for it. This is just stunning. Thankyou for fluttering by my # 28. Hugs Mrs A.

  6. This is a new one to me and I'm mega impressed, Kim! The second photo really made the note stand out and I agree with just the one butterfly! Love it!! Hugs, Darnell
