This week in my craft class we're going to have a play with shrink plastic as none of the ladies have used it before so I've been having fun playing with it today. I've started with the Butterfly Fountain stamp by Honey Doo Crafts. Next I coloured some clear shrink plastic with yellow Promarker and stamped the butterflies (from the Stampin Up set Flight of The Butterfly) and punched them out before shrinking. Matted and layered (badly!) on yellow and black card. It wasn't until I took the picture that I realised how squiffy my layers are so I'm going to have to try and sort that when I get home on Tuesday

Xanthine Butterflies
The first challenge of the New Year at The Butterfly Challenge is X is for Xanthine. I didn't know what it was either but Mrs A has given a great definition if you ppop over to the challenge blog but basically it's Yellow - who would have known!

I do love using shrink plastic for making embellishments. Your butterflies are gorgeous. They look so striking with the black and white. Thankyou for fluttering by and playing with yellow. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteThis stamp is beautiful, never tried shrink plastic, but your little butterflies are very effective. Thanks for joining in over at Butterfly challenge x Amanda
