Round & Round

There's a new challenge at Less Is More this week called Round and Round. For my card I've used a computer generated text and a record stamp from the Darkroom Door Music set. I did stamp the record straight onto the card with Versafine but felt it needed a little lift so I've stamped it again on a piece of scrap card and stuck it on with silicone. I've layered it onto a square of black card then onto the card base so a very quick and easy card.

I'm also entering this into Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground where Miss was given a lovely present last week of a candle jar lid to stand her card on. I too have been looking for one since I saw the very talented Bev Rochester use one to show her cards on her blog but I've never been lucky enough to find one. However, while in Pounland on Friday I got this little set of two Lily Lights which just about work.

Although nowhere near as pretty, they do light up and change through a range of colours. I'm going to have a play and try some alcohol inks on one of them

  4. Hello Kim! Brilliant card - such a clever take on the theme too. I'm still 'thunking it over' here - one of those LIM challenges I might skip.

So you don't want to win your lovely die set back then, lol :)

  6. Di again! How rude of me, I meant to say how much I love those lights you got at Poundland - just perfect for displaying your cards. And the alcohol markers sound like something fun to try on them. You clever little sausage!

I've had another really thorough search online to see if I could find one of the candle lids that Mo gave me - sadly with no success. But, I think your light looks brilliant!

  8. This works as well as the candle topper! Every time I see that I want to kick myself for letting mine go several years ago.
Anyway, I like this little flower and think it shows off your card beautifully! What a clever idea for this challenge!

  11. Lovely candle lights. Your cards would look fab perched on one of these I'll bet. Loved this card..so simple, yet it says it all. I like your idea of lifting the record up for dimension. Really drew the eye right into the card. TFS
