How Charming at Cuttlebug Mania

We've got a new challenge for you at Cuttlebug Mania and this time we want to see your creations with a charm on. This will be our last challenge for a while as we're taking a summer break until September so we're hoping for a bumper entry this time

For my card, I've followed this sketch from Sunday Stamps

I had an idea of what I wanted to do when I set out but this has turned out so different. For a start, the embossed background was going to be white on a black mat but I embossed the wrong piece of card I liked how it looked so used that

Crafts Too Music Notes embossing folder
Long Rectangle Nesties
Darkroom Door Rockstar stamp set
Charms from The Works

We'd love to see how you've used a charm on your creations but please remember to let us know how you have used your die cutting machine

Another Zentangle

My new Lyndsay Mason stamps arrived yesterday so I had to have a quick play last night. I've used this sketch from Friday Sketch

The theme at The Butterfly Challenge is Monochromatic so that decided my card colours

New and Innovative?

I'm not sure that this qualifies for the New and Innovative challenge at The Technique Twist but as it's new to me I thought I'd give it a go. I've used my new Zendoodles Owl Buddies stamp by Lindsay Mason - there is also a ready doodled stamp too if you don't want to do your own. I hadn't intended doing any tangles but just loved the stamp and thought it could be good for paper piecing. But I had time last night to have a little play and I absolutely loved doing the doodles. It's very relaxing and so addictive and once you stop trying to be perfect it seems to work so much better. I'm really pleased with how this turned out, so much so that I've just ordered the butterflies too. Hope you like it

I'm also entering this into the Crafting With Dragonflies Challenge which is Zentangle in Black and White

At the Seaside for CD Sunday

It's just as well that CD Sunday have gone fortnightly or I would have missed the challenge. I made the card the day the challenge was added but forgot to post it. The theme is At The Seaside and I've used an image from the Faye Whittaker Collection. I've used Pan Pastels for the background and the sentiment is from Stampin Up's Summer By The Sea. A few die cut shells and some twine to finish

We've got a new challenge for you at Cuttlebug Mania and this time we want to see your creations with a theme of Transport

My car is a die by Marianne Design. I've used some gilding wax through the stencil to highlight the embossed areas. The backing papers are from the Wild Rose Studio Man About Town paper pack. The stripped one is embossed with an XCut Tartan embossing folder and I've gone over it with the gilding wax.

The greeting is by Stampin Up from the Itty Bitty Banners set cut with the matching die

We'd love to see what you come up with and don't forget to let us know how you've used your die cutting machine

Child's Birthday for Cardz 4 Guyz

It's time for another challenge at Cardz for Guyz and this week we're concentrating on the smaller guyz - we want to see a Child's Birthday card. I've used an image from Rachelle Anne Miller - I love these cute and colourful designs. The two backing papers are from the same CD. The sentiment is computer printed and the stars are from a Nellie Snellen die

We'd love to see what you can come up with for this challenge but don't forget to make it for a boy

Twisted Box Card

This fortnight's challenge at the Technique Twist is to make a box card. I wanted to make one for my cousin's 18th but they're not really big enough to be and I didn't have any A3 card so I've made one with two pieces of card so it folds into an 8x8 envelope. I've also twisted the design so that you get two upright parts which are folded diagonaly (thanks to Little Babs on the Crafters Reunited forum for this idea).

I'm also entering this into the following challenges

Try it on Tuesday - Feminine and Fancy
Stamps and Fun = Creativity - Box

And I've just realised it fits the Butterfly Challenge Butterfly Bingo - Pink, Butterfly and Dry Embossing. There's still over a week to play along with this challenge so pop over and have a look

Butterfly Bingo

I nearly missed out on the current Butterfly Challenge but hopefully this quick card will be just in time. This time there's this bingo board to choose your elements from

I've gone for the top left to bottom right row. The pink is obvious, the stamped butterflies are from Stampin Up's Papillon Potpourri and the dry embossing is a folder which was free with a magazine. I've covered the raised embossing and the stamped butterflies with clear Wink of Stella which just about shows up in the picture

Father's Day at Cardz 4 Guyz

Yes we're celebrating Father's Day at Cardz 4 Guyz  this week so we want to see your cards to celebrate your Fathers or Grandfathers. My cute image is by Wild Rose Studio from one of their printed panels sets. The large balloon is a Memory Box die and the smaller ones are punches all cut from snippets so I'll be taking this across the Pixie's Snippets Playground. The sentiment is by Personal Impressions and the backing paper is from a Dovecraft basics pad
