A Card For Mum

I love this stamp but often forget about her so I was pleased she came to hand when I was looking for a stamp for this challenge at The Stamping Shack. I've followed the layout at Sketch Saturday

I've paper pieced her dress and coloured the rest with soft Promarkers. I've added a scalloped border with lace and a ribbon flower to meet the challenge at The Shabby Tea Room which is So Pretty In Pink. A few pearls in the corner and her hair to match the ones in the ribbon flower and it's finished

Now I must stop playing and sort out this mess that is my craft room!

Candi Stamps

This card is made with a set of Candi stamps which were free with Simply Cards & Papercraft. I've stamped the heart in red and cut it out with Netsies. The candi was free with the magazine too. I've layered it onto pink then red card - the pink card is embossed with a Sizzix hearts folder. The tags are made with the Stampin Up set called Tiny Tags and punched with an SU punch. A small heart gem holds them on - well not really but that's the effect!

It might seem a bit late to be making Valentines cards but this is going to the forces and it can take some time for it to get there, hence it doesn't actually say Valentine but the sentiment is there

I'm entering this into the following challenges
Addicted To Stamps - Heart, Stamp & Love from their Bingo card
Polka Doodles - Valentine Love
The Stamping Shack - Red, Pink & White
That Craft Place - Valentine

WOW

I really find white on white cards a challenge but thought I'd have a go at this one at That Crafty Place. For this challenge you are allowed to use a coloured image but I've gone with a simple stamp again from the Stampin Up Ain't Love Grand set. I've cut it out with a Marianne Designs small oval and layered it with the larger oval of the set. The flowers are also a Marianne die and the corners are an old Sizzix cut n emboss die. I can never get the flowers the same size but then neither can nature. The leaves are fabric and have been sitting on my window sill for ages waiting to be used. It's been such a dull day the picture hasn't come out too well - all the elements apart from the leaves are cut from the same cardstock although looking at the flowers you wouldn't think so. I'll try and get a better picture tomorrow.

As it's Valentines Day next week there are lots of challenges with the theme Love is In The Air so I'm entering my card into the following challenges

Cuttlebug Spot
 Incy Wincy
Daring Cardmakers
The Stamping Shack
One Stop Craft Challenge
