Sunday Sketch & Stamp #185

It's another week at Sunday Sketch & Stamp so it's time for a new sketch and this is what we have to play with this week - you can add a sentiment and embellishments wherever you like

For my card, I've started with three papers from the First Edition Up & Away pad. I've cut the papers and edged them with Certainly Celery ink before sticking down. The papers are double sided so I've used the back of the centre strip to nest my die cut circle on and to layer the sentiment. The bird and branch are from Stampin Up's Language of Friendship set. I've stamped the bird and wing with green ink onto a blue paper and cut with the matching punch.The branch is stamped with green ink onto the green paper and again cut with the punch. I've stamped the birds feet straight onto the white circle and then onto the stem of the branch before sticking everything down. The sentiment is from Express Yourself and cut and matted with Stampin Up punches. I wanted to add a flower to the sentiment but only had a small snippet of paper so I've used a sticky not to be able to put it in the punch and line it up with the stamped flower. This way you can use the smallest snippet to punch

It's time for another challenge at Sunday Sketch & Stamp and this week it's Anne-Marie's turn to give us a sketch

For my card I've used the winter stamp from Stampin Up's Four Seasons set. I've stamped it with Versamark and embossed with white powder and inked over it with Ballet Blue ink. The four squares are done in the same way using another Stampin Up set - Snowflake Soiree. the sentiment is from the same set. I really love how this turned out and will be making more of these. I've added some gems to the middle of the snowflakes rather than the corners but I'm sure Anne-Marie will forgive me

It's time for another Sunday Sketch & Stamp challenge and it's Carole's turn to give us a sketch this week and this is what she has given us to play with

For my card I've used a Stella image from Bugaboo who are this weeks sponsors. I've coloured her with Promarkers and use a Sakura Stardust pen on the cake, glasses and candle. The backing papers are from the Bloom & Grow pack by My Mind's Eye. The candle is cut with a Marianne die and a few gems finish off the card. I'm also entering this into the I Love Promarkers challenge which is Anything Goes

It's time for another sketch at Sunday Sketch & Stamp and this week it's Francesca's turn to design the layout

I've used a couple of stamps from Lindsay Mason's Build a Snowy Scene set and stamped them with Vintage Sepia Versafine and lightly coloured with Promarkers. The tree backing paper is from a Craft Artist kit which I've changed from blue to brown and printed twice. The centre square is also a backing paper from Craft Artist. It actually has snowflakes but they don't show up very well. I've cut two trees from one of the backing papers to make the vertical lines on the sketch. I found some Glistening Snow Writer which is years old but once I had un-bunged the nozzle, it was fine so I've added some snow to the image and the bottom of the trees on the backing paper

Sunday Sketch & Stamp

It's Sunday so it's time for a new sketch at Sunday Sketch & Stamp and Sam has come up with this layout for us to use

Now I've played about with it a little for my card but I think all the elements are there even if they're not quite in the right place! The image is from Stampin Up's Fabulous You set. I've stamped it with Versafine and embossed with black WOW powder then coloured in with a Stardust pen/ The sentiment is from the same set and embossed with the WOW powder too. The middle band is cut with a Martha Stewart punch and the embossed corner is done with a Cut n Emboss die. The backing paper is from Papermania's Elegance pack - I think I need to source another of these as the papers are gorgeous. A few gems and the card is finished

Sunday Sketch & Stamp Week 177

This is the lovely sketch Anne-Marie has given us to work with this week

For my card I've used the Stag Cliffhanger stamp by Indigo Blu. I wasn't struck by this stamp until I saw some samples by Kay at Jendenink and then I had to have it. I've masked the bottom half and inked the deer and tree with Majestic Blue Versafine. I didn't want anything to take away from the image so I've used some white and silver glitter paper as the background. The sentiment is from Paula Pascaul's Square Essentials which is a strange name as half of them are circles! I've added some Stickles to the ground and tree, and some gems to finish

We've another sketch for you this week at Sunday Sketch & Stamp and this is it

Now I must admit I haven't done a lot of crafting over the past week or so and I totally forgot about this challenge until I woke up this morning so it is a very quick card from me. I've used the winter image from Stampin Up's Four Seasons set. I've used markers to colour it before stamping and cut it out with Nesties. The backing paper is from the Forever Friends Kraft Notes Christmas stack. I wasn't going to buy this but when I saw it at a Docrafts demo I was sold. It's all double sided and there are lots of papers that can be used for other occasions so it's not just for Christmas. The only thing is that the colours are quite muted and I'm after some real red papers so if you know of any, please let me know. I've added some snowflakes to the corners which were cut with a Cuttlebug die and a scrap of ribbon. And that's it - a very quick card

It's Carole's turn to give us a sketch for Sunday Sketch & Stamp this week and she has this great one for us

For my card I've used a stamp by My Favourite things called Dip Me In Chocolate. I've coloured her with Flexmarkes and cut out with Nesties. The papers are from First Edition Sweet Owl and DCWV Sweet stack - the brown one is really shimmery but I didn't catch it in the picture and I've used some of he pink one to paper piece the chocolate wrapper. The greeting is by Craftwork Cards matted onto some brown card cut with a Stampin Up punch

For my card I’ve used this cute image from Robin’s Fetish called Sunflower Smiles. It’s such a happy image and I’ve coloured it with Promarkers and matted it onto green card. The sentiment is by Inkylicious called Summer Breeze and I’ve stamped it with black Versafine and embossed with clear powder. I’ve then cut it with a Marianne die and coloured through the die with Pan Pastels. The backing paper is from a K&Co pack and I’ve gone lightly around the edges with green Pan Pastel. Some ribbon from my stash tied with a “Jane Gill” bow

I've followed the sketch for this but I know I'm going to have to add gems to the other corners as they look like they've dropped off to me

It's Anne-Marie's turn to give us a sketch this week at Sunday Sketch & Stamp and this is the design she has come up with

For my card I've used some backing paper from a pas I got when I was in the Netherlands a few years ago. I've used the trimmings of this the other way for the strip on the left. The image is by Stampin Up and I've stamped it and pulled some of the ink in with a blender pen.The greeting is also by Stampin Up using their Itty Bitty Banners and matching die. Some bakers twine and nailheads to finish

It's Sam's turn to give us a sketch to work with at Sunday Sketch & Stamp and this is the lovely layout she has come up with

I must admit I nearly forgot about doing this so mine is a very quick card and the stamp I've used made it very easy. It's from the Stampin Up set called Crazy Mixed-Up Love and there are 6 images all with a sentiment attached. This is going to come in handy for making some quick love themed cards for the forces. They don't always want Valentines cards as they never know how long it will take the cards to get there - it depends on when there is room on a plane so general love ones are always welcome.

 For my card, I've masked off the words and stamped the blender in red ink and cut it out with Nesties. Then I've masked off the image and stamped the sentiment and cut it out with the word window punch. The backing paper is from Papermania's Festive Midi Spots pack. I can see I'm going to have to get another of these packs as it's so useful for everyday too. A strip of ribbon and some heart gems and the card is finished

I've used a Bugaboo image for my card and coloured him with Promarkers using the blender pen to give his skin some texture. The backing paper is by Stampin Up and I've used a Cuttlebug folder on the white card. I'm not sure what the folder is called but it looks like scaly skin to me so I thought it went well. Some card candy to finish

It's Carole's turn to give us a sketch this week at Sunday Sketch & Stamp
and she's come up with this lovely layout

For my card I've used a stamp called Nature Speaks by Inkylicious. I've coloured the edges with PanPastels and layered it onto pink card. The white card is embossed with the Cuttlebug Roses folder and again coloured the edges and layered onto pink card. The backing paper was free with a magazine and is lovely and colourful to match the sentiment. The butterflies are cut with some Joy Craft dies and I've added some ink before taking out of the dies.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp

I had a lovely crafty weekend with friends last week and after coming home on Monday I've hardly been in my craft room. I also did a class with the lovely Kay from Indigo Blu at Jendenink which was fantastic and although I've got nothing actually made, lots of techniques were learnt.

So onto my card for this weeks Sunday Sketch & Stamp. Joni has given us this lovely sketch to work with

For my card I've used a Marianne Design stamp from their Romantic Vintage range. I've stamped it with Victorian Velvet distress ink and embossed it with clear powder. I've gone over a few of the white areas with Antique Linen and matted it onto a scrap of pink card and distressed the edges. The backing paper is from a paper pad called Parisian Dreams which came free with Quick Cards Made Easy. I've used a paper doily for the circle which is lightly edged with the same distress inks. The lace was white but I've added a little colour with the Antique Linen to take the brightness away. The card under the lace strip is another scrap which wasn't quite long enough so it's cut in half and the gap is under the doily. The greeting is from a Wild Rose Studio set again, stamped and mounted on scraps. I'm also playing along at Pixie's Crafty Snippets this week

It's Sam's turn to give us a sketch this week at Sunday Sketch & Stamp and this is what she has come up with

For my card I've used a stamp from the Stampin Up Serene Silhouettes set and stamped it in black and embossed it. I've then cut it with a Nestie and coloured it with ink to match the backing paper. The doily is cut from DSP with an X-Cut die and the greeting is by Craftwork Cards. Some ribbon and gems to finish

This is the sketch we have to work with at Sunday Sketch & Stamp this week by the lovely Mari

For my card I've used a Kaisercraft stamp set called Technologic. The backing papers are by Smirk from the For Him pad. The image is matted onto blue mirror card to match the top paper. The silver cogs are cut with Spellbinders cogs dies from scraps of mirror card. neither piece was big enough so the pieces that are missing are behind the image - a great way to use those scraps

I love the sentiment that comes with this set

I nearly forgot about my card for Sunday Sketch & Stamp so had to make a quick one when I got up this morning. This is the lovely sketch from Anne-Marie

The stamp I've used is Catus Librum by Stampendous and I've stamped it with Fired Brick distress ink. The backing paper is from a Fancy Pants design pad called Off To School. I've used a Hobbycraft paws background stamp for the right hand panel - this is great value at £2.99 as it's quite a large stamp. The sentiment is by Stampin Up and the ribbon and buttons are from my stash. I'm also entering this into the challenge at Here Come The Boys - Must Have Buttons

For my card I've used a Robyn's Fetish digital stamp called Katie Reading and coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are from a pad called Off To School by Fancy Pants which I thought went very well with the image. I've not put a sentiment on yet as I'm not sure what I'll use it for.
