My New Craft Room

Millie has had fun trying to find her favorite place in my new craft room. Needless to say it wasn't where it was supposed to be:

First she tried sitting by my Cricut

then at the window almost sitting on the card I was making

 then onto my stoage desk

then onto the pull out desk I use for my laptop

and finally onto my lap

and all the time her basket stays empty

Cheeky - I don't think so!

I made this card for a friends special birthday. She did say that one of the cards she received was cheeky - I can't believe that she was referring to this one:

The image is a Dolly Mama clear set by Stamps Happen coloured with Promarkers. I've had this for yonks and nots used it but thought it was perfect for this card. Paper is from a Papermania Born To Shop stack

My New Slippers

Yes, I know this is not a card or a cat but I just had to show you my new slippers - and it's not even Christmas!

Now apart from looking warm and cosy, there doesn't seem to be anything special about these slippers:

But lets take a look at the back:

There are 4 of these diamonte loops on each slipper. Well there were! Mine are now in my craft box!

(Asda £8 in pink, grey and cream)

Glitter Pot Class Cards

I did a lovely class at the Glitter Pot last month with the very talented Joanne Gelnar. We used a Marianne die to create a topper and a pretty card blank:
and some lovely flowers of course.

Halloween Challenge

I'm really finding it hard to go motivated at the moment and I've only been making family birthday cards and those have been simple Kanban cards. So I thought I'd enter the Halloween image at Justinklined. I've decoupaged their free mummy download and made the base and inside of the card with their coffin download.

Darkroom Door Christmas

This is Derrick's Christmas card - made using the same stamp as his Birthday card. Stamped with Versafine and covered with lots of glamour dust although that doesn't even show on the close up. Cordinations card put through the Bug and sanded and some DCWV paper. Well, he does like me to get good value out of my stamps :)

Derrick's Birthday Cards

Yes I did say cards and they aren't what I had intended! Last year I bought 4 A4 sheets of rubber stamps and 2 sheets were walking images which would have been ideal but can I find them - NO! I spent two days sorting things in my craft room and there is absolutely no sign of them. As his Birthday is on Monday and we are going away on Saturday I had to make something so I used the Doodlebug Lovely Lime kit that I bought in TK Maxx. I saw a card in Beautiful Card using this kit but could never find the stickers. Luckily I found the magazine (dated June 2006) during my clearout so here is the result:
Then, when looking for a sentiment to go on this card I found my Darkroon Door Prague stamp set and realised that this would be perfect so I made another card. This is far more like what I wanted to make him. I think it could have been more grungy but he doesn't like "dirty" looking cards so this will have to do:

I used versafine vintage sepia to stamp and brushed with heritage gold perfect pearls. The paper are DCWV La Creme range. Having cleared out my craft room and given my three folders of scraps to a playschool, I used the scraps from this card to make an ATC. Not sure what I'm going to do with it as I don't join in swaps but hey ho, I'll find a use:

Christmas Comes Early

I can't believe that I've made three Christmas cards in June! All made with the Wild Rose Studio Christmas CD which is great. You get loads of backing papers and digi images - both black and white and colour

Milton with Barrow

These are two of the cards I made for the Southampton Papercraft Show last weekend. The stamp is Milton With Barrow by Wild Rose Studio and both are coloured with Promarkers. The papers are WRS too. I used the Nesties but as the image only just fitted into the largest one, I've just off set the matching card.

Wedding Card for Musicians

I was asked by someone at work if I could make a wedding card for a couple of trombone players! Obviously I could make the card but the image was another thing. So a call for help on the forum and as usual Marjie came up trumps. Thanks Marjie - you're a star and of course, the recpients loved it
